You can apply for a Global Talent visa to work in the UK if you are a leader or potential leader in one of the following fields:

  • academia or research
  • arts and culture
  • digital technology

You must also be at least 18 years old.

You can usually only apply for a Global Talent visa if you have successfully applied for an endorsement to prove that you are a leader or potential leader. You can live and work in the UK for up to 5 years at a time.

You can apply for a Global Talent visa if you have been endorsed in your field as:

A recognised leader (exceptional talent)

An emerging leader (exceptional promise)

Application Process

There is a 2-stage application process to get this visa.

You first need to apply to the Home Office for endorsement as a leader or an emerging leader in your field. Then, once you have been endorsed, you can apply for the visa.

In order to qualify for this route, the applicant must have certain skills and qualifications as published by the endorsement authorities. It can be technical or Business level qualifications.
